"All the staff were welcoming and friendly. Our room was lovely with a wonderful view overlooking the water. The resort was clean with a nice dining area and a huge deck to sit and enjoy a drink or two. Very nice place to stay. "

The cottage was extremely well equipped and very comfortable, it felt like a home away from home. The fireplace made the cottage so warm and cosy when the sun went down.

"Beautiful location. Sauna takes a bit of work to get going and approx 1.5hrs to reach temp. Kitchen is semi equipped. No microwave. BYO condiments and spices etc required for any cooking. 3 bulls in nearby pasture, didn't see any other wildlife during our stay. Great for star gazing on a clear night. We enjoyed our 2 nights there. "

"Had we known how stunning the cottage we stayed in was, we would have booked many more days. The views were spectacular, the special touches like fresh herbs, a chilled jug of water, the telescope and the luxurious experience was truly amazing.
We are planning to come back for a much longer stay - the most special place we have ever stayed."

"The new owner, who was also the one who attended us at the reception, is not a pleasant person, not very decisive and has a very bad attitude. I had just finished checking in and giving my credit card for a security deposit, when the owner told me that the water coming out of the pipes is not good, that it comes out brown and that I can shower without any problem but that I should not brush my teeth with that water. He had friends and family staying at other hotels in the area and they did not have this same problem. When I asked him why this was happening at his hotel, he told me that it was not only in his hotel but that the whole peninsula has the same problem of brown non-potable water coming out of the sink and shower in the room. When I complained about this, he told me that my reservation was made when the other owner was there and that now this was not his problem, that I was just a transferred reservation. In fact, after checking with other hotels and restaurants in the area, they told me that the owner is lying and that the only establishment on the peninsula that has this problem is “The Fox and the Hounds.”"
