Very welcoming and helpful host. Compact accommodation with simple arrangement for Continental Breakfast in room. Property well sited for walking into Stanford. Restaurant not available for evening meals during our stay, but appeared to have interesting menu based on Portuguese style cooking.

Arrived early and given key to our room which was ready. Hospitality of the owner was excellent as was the food served in the restaurant. The hotel rooms do need updating and in some cases maintenance Continental breakfast in the room was very good with all items topped up daily. Limited parking but we had no problem on any of the 3 days we were there

Convenient location near to centre of Stamford town centre. Limited on-site parking for 5-6 cars, but not an issue for us. Very friendly, helpful and welcoming host. Room clean, beds comfortable. Light breakfast in room included. Handrails on stairs could use a clean. At the price, I would recommend.

Really quirky proprerty! Originally terraced houses but now converted into good sized rooms without losing any of it's original character. Nothing was too much trouble and the owner is always on hand. Already booked for next year!

This property is a little gem in Stamford. Nelio is the most genial of hosts. Perfectly situated for the town and Burghley house. Nice little restaurant attached to the property too.

This is an affordable gem in the centre of Stamford. The en suite room was ultra clean and a decent size with a fridge containing breakfast items and free parking. The owner was exceptionally helpful and even dropped us off at our party. We will return when we are visiting again. Thankyou!

Limited parking, but cheap car park nearby with no overnight charge (6pm to 8am). Phone number on the door outside to call for access if not open. Easy, friendly check in. Stayed in the single room, which was cosy, clean and comfortable. Quiet area. Slept well. Continental breakfast in the room.

The host was very accomadating and helpful.Parking a bonus in Stamford.The continental breakfast, with fresh bread, milk, fresh fruit was a excellent.Lovely, old building with plenty of character.Looking foward to our next stay in lovely Stamford.

Lovely hotel in a great location for the town centre and the Corn Exchange. The owner was so friendly and couldn’t have done anything more for us. We had a lovely breakfast and definitely want to return to experience the restaurant.

We got a lovely welcome to Candlesticks, the room was very clean, but would benefit from some decorating. We had a bath, but no shower in the bathroom. Breakfast was in the fridge in the room, but was adequate. There are approximately 3/4 off road parking spaces available. Its just a short walk in to town.
