I would not say 4-star service or quality. I have booked the hotel for my young family based on descriptions that it is a 4 star up market hotel. I stayed in many hotels and this is by no means an up market and 4 star hotel.
We arrived about 20 mins prior check-in time with my wife and little baby. Room wasn't ready and told only can guarantee after 3pm. No problem of course, so we went for lunch. Came back after lunch about 3.30pm. Room still wasn't available and had to wait for another c. 20 mins. They apologised and got free drink voucher but not too helpful when after long trip want to rest (including your young baby). Whilst waiting no baby changing area other than the spa, where ramp was not accessible due to work (no one mentioned before booking) so carried pram up stars (then down).
When finally got the room:
- light in bathroom did not work (took about 40 mins to fix)
- no towel supply only couple of small ones (apparently they have not received cleaning) and not even automatically topped up later
- two wholes by head of bed with cables tucked inside (assume light or sockets used to be there)
- at leats had some bath robes although one was worn out
- interconnecting door not locked
Smaller thing but at breakfast asked for decaf coffee. First they said no problem then came back saying sorry they cannot provide.
Anything but 4 star or up market!
