Stayed 3 nights at Clydesdale Manor at the end of a Tasmania road trip. It’s a beautiful building inside and out, with nice gardens and plenty of parking.
It’s a couple of kilometres outside the centre of Hobart. it’s walkable in half an hour, which is fine if you’re going there for the day, but a bit inconvenient for dinner/drinks in the evening unless you don’t mind driving or taking taxis. Having said that, there are some excellent places to eat nearby.
Our room was large and traditionally furnished. Not as much storage space as you’d expect, and the wardrobe was a bit rickety (it wasn’t attached to the drawer it sat on top of, and it would tumble forward when opening it).
The room had a spa bath, which was excellent, but it took 40 minutes to fill. So you need to plan ahead if you want to use it.
WiFi was pretty slow. Not always good enough for streaming.
The complimentary breakfast each morning was simple but appreciated.
