The hotel is so unique. The food was very delicious. My only two notes was that there was no hooks in the bathroom for your towels even temporary hooks would work while renovating and the bed moves very easily went to sit down and the bed moved.

The staff were great; very helpful and prompt with service wether it was at the restaurant or in the morning for breakfast. They are working on rejuvenating the hotel but keep to the heritage of the site. Rooms were spacious, clean. The renovations thus far completed looked great when walking through the reception area, check in was very easy, overall a great experience! Would highly recommend and would love to come back in the future! Thanks Hydro hotel!

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel was under renovation but still was pleasant. Only gripes were: the bed for a double was quite small. Also we were at the front of the hotel over the illuminated sign. It was like day light in the room because they only had a thin blind fitted. There was a curtain rail but no curtains. I would probably not stay again because of this

The hotel was in a great location to either explore Lisdoonvarna or travel to the Cliffs of Moher and other close seaside towns. The hotel has great charm, but is in great need of an upgrade, which has already begun. It is very outdated, but they are doing their best to continue to operate while making improvements. The only major negative is that the breakfast can be quite difficult to navigate if a tour is there, as we got up early on checkout day only to deal with an entire tour bus of tourists at the buffet, which made it hard for them to keep up, but overall a nice place to stay in a convenient location.

Hotel is close to Cliffs of Moher. That was one of the reasons we picked. The hotel is getting updated. The lobby is beautifully decorated. We didn’t get one of the updated rooms, but the room was comfortable, for our family of four. The room had the essentials we needed. The room did not come with the fan. Which would’ve been nice to have. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Our stay came with a breakfast, which was actually very delicious. Which was one of our favorite breakfasts from our trip. Parking was easy. There was a convenience store that is walkable from the hotel. Our stay overall was comfortable and great.

The Hydro Hotel is a beautiful hotel, currently undergoing a complete refurb and modernisation. The areas that are refurbed are beautiful and really nice. The bedrooms are a little dated but are spacious, clean and more than fit for purpose. The breakfast and dinner was of a high standard. The hotel is really well located for Lisdoonvarna, being just ion the outskirts of town. It has a beautiful garden and tennis court. In all a great hotel and will be very nice once completely refurbished. We will most certainly stay again, if we are in the area.

Made a late booking and was notified of property renovations in advance however check in staff absent at check in and bar staff ignored me. Room was extremely tiny, musty. and furnished with old wooden beds from the 60’s-70’s. Toilet was not working and had to be fixed and still functioned poorly. In current state these rooms are over priced.

Das Hotel ist alt und das Personal war freundlich, aber die zimmer waren furchtbar, kaltes LED Licht, ikeamöbel aus den Neunzigerjahren, sehr alter und schmutziger Teppichboden , keine Tapeten im Frühstücksraum bzw. nur fetzen , das Hotel soll renoviert werden bis 2028 aber das nützte mir jetzt nichts

Très bon accueil par Diana qui a été aux petits soins avec nous, et a su repondre à nos attentes, encore merci à elle. Nous avons testé les excellents cocktails, le restaurant était bien aussi, avec un personne sympathique. L'hôtel entreprend un grand plan de rénovation sur 3 ans, 2026-2029, nécessaire... Les chambres spacieuses vont retrouver leur superbe ! Nous recommandons cet établissement.
