Room was lovely and clean breakfast was very good location was perfect and what a lovely couple running the hotel. It certainly has my recommendation .

I wish we had read other reviews as we would not have booked. There was a lot of dust on lampshades in the room and it was generally neglected. We could not open the windows and the room was stifling, despite the weather. There was a terrible smell of cigarette smoke throughout the property. We realised that they smoke downstairs. As non smokers the smell was awful! The smoke alarm in our room went off at 3am, waking us up.

Room was dated - needed a complete refresh. No wardrobe, not even a chair - nowhere to hang my clothes. Had to hang my coat over the door and my clothes on the small radiator shower door did not shut/was broken, no wi-fi, constant smell of cigarette smoke in the room - best thing was the comfy bed.
