The staff is helpful and the room is comfortable. They have a luggage room if you arrive early or leave late. They provide a travel card for public transportation and it is one metro ride to most of the tourist attractions. The back street seemed a little bit sketchy at night but might be normal as the hotel is just next to the train station.

I simply loved my stay at the Hotel Fuerst Bismarck.It is very reasonably priced and the staff is very attentive and helpful. The breakfast was an additional 19 Euro per person but absolutely worth it. The hotel is located across from Hamburg Main Station in a safe and centrally located area. The Alster is only a short walk away as well as the fun district of St. Georg with lots of little bars, bistros and restaurants. If you want to visit Museum Ballinstadt - which you should! - you can get there easily from the Main Station by S-Bahn in 20 minutes.

Convenient hotel

Great location with hop on hop off bus opposite the hotel. You have to leave the key at reception if you go out of the hotel. Probably a good thing as a key is very heavy.

An overnight stop with a four night stop to follow. Great position. No stairs at entrance. Lift availability to room as well as stairs. Reception area was busy with people checking in but flowed well and the reception staff were friendly and helpful.

A nice cozy hotel, just a couple of steps from hbf, you can walk to most of Hamburg landmarks. Nice room and they give you a public transport pass with your stay!

Exactly what I was looking for: Clean, decent, super close to the central station (good for when you get Deutsche Bahn'd and arrive in the middle of the night). Not the kind of hotel that you get emotional about but it did exactly what I wanted from it.

The hotel and staff were lovely, reception staff very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very comfortable however lack tea or coffee making facilities. The area around the hotel is full of beggars literally as we stepped onto the hotels frontage we were approached by two beggars. Walking in the street opposite the station was full of beggars. Obviously this is no fault of the hotel and does not reflect on the hotel. Our sleep was broken each night by violent shrieks outside the hotel. Homeless and drunks passing by. Again no reflection on the hotel part from its location, seems to be in and around homeless and drunks

I needed a hotel near the station, and this was fine for a one-night stay. The reception staff were friendly. The room itself had carpeting, which I don't think is the most hygienic. The carpet could have been vacuumed more thoroughly, especially near and under the bed.

A wonderful suprise!

I was very positively surprised by the Fürst Hotel Busmarcka, and I really had a wonderful stay there. Normally when I travel I choose to stay with well known high-eng hotel brands, but this time I wanted to stay close to the train staition as I was just in Hamburg for a quick visit and did not want to spend too much time getting to and from the hotel. I did not have the highest expectaions to this stay as I tend to find stand alone hotels often fails on product and service delivery, but this time I could not have been more happy with my choice of hotel! I arrived at 12:30 and an early check-in was offered with a smile and at no extra charge. Also, I was handed a three day ticket for public transportation as a gift. What a great service! My room was a comfort category room and it was spacious and nice, with a stately and well kept interiour. The room, and the hallways, was spotlessly clean, and eve though it is not a super modern hotel it just felt very welcoming and nice. I truly enjoyed my time there! The area around the hotel is quite noisy and I was bothered with shouting and sigarette smell from the street during the night, but it was not a big problem and closing the windows helped. I felt safe outside the hotel even though it was a little rough neighbourhood as it usually are close to a main railway station. The Burger Heroes on the same block as the hotel served the best late night burger I ever had. My best recommendstions to stay at this hotel!

This hotel is fine. It is very basic, but clean enough and comfortable enough. However, the photos are misleading. There are no pictures on the wall, flowers in the room, multiple seating options, trees outside (except possibly one room near the only tree). This is an adequate hotel if you need a very basic overnight place right near the Hamburg train station. But the area is busy, not particularly safe, and loud -- immediately across from main station. Breakfast is fine, not great but adequate. I am not sorry we stayed here given its price and convenience, but it is much more of an economy business choice than a tourism/vacation choice. Staff was pleasant and helpful.
