Lake Esperanza is in one of the most beautiful locations I have ever stayed in. The setting is stunning and the hotel has huge potential, but unfortunately I left feeling it has an atmosphere problem. The breakfast was genuinely one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had. Absolutely outstanding. Our room was beautiful, although small and quite dark. The hotel also seemed almost empty, so it was frustrating to see much larger rooms unused. I would not expect a free upgrade, but even offering one at a reduced rate would have been a nice touch. The biggest issue was a private event on the day we arrived. It took over the lakeside restaurant and left hotel guests with nowhere to sit, relax or have a drink. There is no proper main bar or residents' lounge, so we ended up sitting in reception with no service. If we wanted a drink, the only real option was the minibar. I also never felt properly introduced to the hotel or its facilities. The staff were friendly, but the service felt slightly disorganised and not really five-star. I was also charged €10 for two small packets of salted crisps, which is ridiculous. I travelled from the UK specifically to stay here and really wanted to love it. The setting is five-star, but sadly the overall experience was not. 3/5.

Det här hotellet var rakt igenom fantastiskt! Alltså vilken upplevelse! Vid ankomst var det först en något konstig känsla med säkerhetsvakt och låst grind, och sedan ytterligare en bom som vi skulle igenom för att komma in på området. Sedan när vi kom in till hotellet så bjöds vi på bubbel och varma handdukar för att få tvätta händerna efter resan. Vi fick följe till vårt rum och hotellpersonalen informerade oss om allt vi behövde veta. Fantastisk gästvänlighet. Vi reagerade på att det var så otroligt mycket personal och vakter initialt, men förstod senare att detta var en del av hotellets lyxkoncept. Frukosten var kanske det mest magiska vi har provat på, verkligen supergott! Spaet var också supertrevligt och det var så skönt att det var väldigt luftigt med gäster, vi kunde verkligen njuta. Bra gym också, har det som behövs. :) Trevligt också med möjligheten till att få låna cykel, båt, fiskegrejer mm kostnadsfritt. Mysigt med lite djur och efter promenaden på området också. Vi provade aldrig restaurangen nere vid vattnet, men är det något vi inte blev så nöjda med så var det middagen på restaurang Olea. Vi valde att prova avsmakningsmenyn för 120 euro/pers och den var tyvärr ingen hit alls, Flera av smakportionerna fanns på frukosten och sen var flera av sakerna faktiskt inte ens goda. Middagen blev tyvärr en besvikelse, Men allt annat på detta hotell var verkligen full pott!
