Loved this hotel , my room was beautiful and done with very good taste. Bathroom was spacious, and had a great shower and amenities. The only thing I'd caution, is if you have issues with stairs, all rooms are up a long stairway to the second floor. Carpeted, and has handrails on both sides. I would love to stay again!

•No towels in the room upon checking in- after calling, they delivered them in a plastic bag hanging on the door, as I was out for dinner. •I found two dried up pieces of jalapeño on the carpet. •coffee pods only- no tea bags… •The shower was cold and the shower fixtures difficult to work, as to whether you were turning it to hot or cold, rain shower head just dribbled water- a very chilly shower, not very pleasant. • The tv volume was locked at a very low volume. • The decor was pleasant , the location central to the shops and restaurants, easily walkable , the a/c worked very well, and the bed was comfortable with nice pillows. •The price was a little high for what you get, but I might try it again another time • Appalachicola is a wonderful little town with great history, and friendly locals. Better to stay here than St. George Island.

We loved the spacious room and the location near the center of Appalachicola. The place is clean, has a very comfortable bed, closet, coffee maker, mini fridge, and microwave. The bathroom has two sinks and a big shower box. We only spent one night and cannot tell if they clean the room every day. There’s no staff, frontdesk, nor kitchen with breakfast. We could not manage the channels on the TV. The self serve checking was a bit tricky, but manageable. I didn’t like the steep staircase (no elevator), but do recommend the place.

The property had a great location in the town and was renovated nicely in an old building. The room was renovated very well. There were several issues that were experienced during my stay. First off the AC was not working very well and unable to keep the small room comfortable. The weather outside was very hot and humid. The AC not keeping the humidity down in the room caused the bedding (sheets, pillowcases, comforter, etc.) to have an unpleasant smell. The second item was that there was no cleaning service or replenishment of towels (there were two of us and they only had two towels for our entire stay). The shampoo and body wash dispensers were empty. The zero touch administration of the hotel was great in some ways (easy check in, access codes to gain entry into building and room), but using the process to get in touch with someone for any issues got no response. The automated touch pad door locks were flaky and sometimes took five or six tries before the door would lock (had seen in other reviews this was a problem for others as well). This is a great in town location and the room was nice. A little more responsiveness to messages sent with questions about issues would have made the experience better.

The room was clean and very convenient to downtown Apalachicola. The only major issues were that the AC did not work the entire time of our stay and we were locked out of the main entrance. We reported the AC problem and never received a call back or response. The digital lock had to be reset and finally we were able to access our room to check out.
