This is managed by the best western. Rooms are super dated, tub and sink barely drained, coffee maker was coated in dust and no lid for pot. So no coffee. Breakfast is in best western so you have to walk to a separate hotel for anything you need including front desk. Room stunk like weed and you can hear everything going on in adjoining rooms. Steps to second floor were coated in ice. Don’t waste your money to stay here.

While it didn’t look like much from the outside, the room itself was ideal for a couple of friends visiting the UP for an outdoor excursion. The Superior Place is a jointly owned facility with the adjacent Best Western. The breakfast and other amenities of the Best Western were open for our use. It worked out very nicely.

outside of property could use a little updating, but not horrible. The rooms themselves were very nice, and clean. It shares the parking lot with the best Western, and also must be affiliated with best Western as that’s where the continental breakfast was. All in all well worth the money as both the rooms and breakfast were a great value.

The room was what it was, a room. Definitely not the worst place I’ve ever stayed and served the purpose at a fair price for what it was. Renovations and general property upkeep would dramatically improve the score. Also this property just is kind of there, while the focus is clearly on the Best Western which is basically an “upgrade.”
