Highlight issues and staff communication.
After checking in after midnight
1. A strong, odd smell in the master bedroom, which we later traced to the sink being choked. The water was unable to flow properly—extremely slow drainage that eventually caused water to accumulate in the sink.
2. The iron provided in the unit was not working.
Following this, the communication timeline from your team was quite disappointing:
1. We received an acknowledgement of the issue only after 10am the next day.
2. After 1pm, we were then asked whether we were still in the unit.
3. Subsequently, we were also asked if we had left the key in the mailbox—something we were completely unaware of.
This raised several concerns:
• (A) We are on holiday. There is no reason for us to stay unnecessarily late inside the unit and only go out later in the day.
• (B) The responses from your staff came across as unprofessional, unfriendly, and at times even challenging.
• (C) Asking what time we could return to the unit added stress to our holiday. It is unreasonable for guests to feel pressured to adjust their plans simply to accommodate rectification works—especially when our checkout time was 11am the following morning.
• (D) We were informed that a replacement iron was left in the mailbox. However, by the time we returned, it was already too late for ironing, and the clothes had already been worn while crumpled.
Hope that the issues handled well so not to experience by others.
