Staff were friendly, helpful and informative. Room was spacious and clean with soft beds and pillows. No AC in entire hotel was NOT an issue. as the evenings were cool and the windows have heavy shades to keep hotter days mild. The room also had a desk FAN so with a cracked night window and a fan blowing it was 10/10 best stay on our trip.

The rooms are nice and turned daily. The staff were helpful and attentive. They offer daily breakfast which was good. Located right next to the bus stops if no rental car, without many uphill walks from the train station or from the First gondola. There’s parking available if you have a rental vehicle. When we come back to Switzerland a 5th time, this is where we will stay again.

Very good experience during our stay at the Grinderwalderhof. I had access to my room even arriving earlier than informed. The parking at the hotel was very convenient. Stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed it. We had an apartment just off the main building with a private bedroom, a large bed, and a single bed in the living area. The kitchenette was well-equipped for simple meals. Breakfast was excellent — fresh breads and great coffee — and there’s always hot coffee available downstairs. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. Location is perfect: about a 10-minute walk from the main station, 5 minutes to Grindelwald First, and a grocery store right below. The furniture and key system are a bit dated, but overall, I loved my stay and would happily return.

A little pricy for this 3 star hotel

Location from train station is close to 15 mins walk while pushing the luggage, however, it’s very near to Grindelwald First. Reception leaves by 9pm so if you need anything, no one is around to help. The housekeeping forgot to leave packets of body soap/ shampoo after cleaning our room. Breakfast is good though.
