When we actually saw the bunker, as it is known, it just looked so cool. The actual hotel entrance was on the opposite side to where we came out of the U bahn. The room was better than we expected, it was long and narrow, but had plenty of space for us. The doors were extremely heavy, but went with the bunker theme. The room was very clean, the bed was really comfy. I would definitely stay here again.

Niche hotel experience in Hamburg. A truly unique experience. Located at the top of a World War bunker, a major tourist attraction in it's own right. Hotel is clean, modern but not like any other hotel in its set up. There's no bar, no restaurant and just a small reception area...but there are a restaurant and coffee shop on the same floor for residents to use. Decent location.. Great views over Hamburg. Small clean modern rooms. Internet tv, Alexa in the room is a nice touch. 25 mins walk to the river, 20 to the Reeperbahn. UBahn is next to hotel for easy transport options including the airport. Enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Would stay again

At checkout, the hotel claimed I hadn't paid for the stay, saying they couldn't find my Hotels.com payment in their system. I showed them my Hotels.com receipt, which clearly stated the stay was prepaid and only city taxes were due. The front desk staff disregarded my word and the evidence I presented, causing us to delay our departure and nearly miss our flight. They charged me twice and didn't refund the EUR 100 security deposit. After several email exchanges, the hotel admitted to the duplicate charge, but they still haven't refunded it to my credit card statement. On top of that, I'm out of pocket for the IOF tax due to Brazilian laws. This was terrible customer service; save yourself the headache. I'm still in contact with Hotels.com support to resolve my situation.

This new and unusual hotel is located in a lively part of the city and made our first visit to Hamburg very special. The building is extraordinary. Finding the building is easy, finding the entrance to the hotel is difficult. The entrance is similar to that of an inner city car park, it’s hidden round the back, no signage to speak of and no lighting at night which is unacceptable. The hotel is the new (top) part of the building and enjoys access to the public walkway (which was very crowded when we visited). The hotel has no communal space such as a lobby so is rather impersonal, there is open space on the same level as the check in desk, coffee shop, souvenir shop and the bar but this will be pretty cold in the winter. The rooms are designed to reflect the nature of the urban location and our room was decorated with street art. Our room was very comfortable with great views of the city and windows that open wide. Our room had a lot of design features including mood lighting but it was impractical in other ways, limited space and virtually no storage. We would have liked more information about the hotel and the features in our room (we never figured out how to operate the ‘intuitive’ thermostat or access Alexa). The hotel is new and still going through the ‘snagging’ phase, but that didn’t stop us enjoying ourselves and the extraordinary location. All the staff we came into contact were very friendly and helpful and we would happily return.

I have a lot to say but I think a pro con list will sum it up Pro 1. Very clean 2. Beautiful view, our room was on the 3rd floor and had a double balcony that was a nice bonus. 3. Convenient to public transport 4. Comfortable rooms 5. Check in was super easy and straight forward 6. The bar was way over priced for the area 7. If you want an authentic Hamburg experience this is the area, it seemed to be away from anything tourist related, and a lot of shops/ bars didn’t speak much English which was cool Cons 1. Terrible signage, kind of difficult to find the entrance of the actual hotel. Can’t miss the building. Coming off the u-Bahn it’s obvious where the building is but the entrance is tucked away and there’s not signs on the side you walk up to from the u-Bahn. 2. Most everything is closed by 10pm, and despite advertising there was no grab and go (not counting the 3 weird craft sodas for €4) 3. No real amenities at all, if they existed they were not advertised by staff at check in. 4. The building is a public building, and while obviously they have taken steps for security it was very surprising to look out your window and see people walking past it, to the point you can’t open your window or open the curtains at all during the day if you are in the rooms on the 100 floor according to friends who were also staying at this hotel at the same time as us. 5. As of July 2024, the hotel still wasn’t complete and it was obvious but hopefully they will work out some kinks

Selve hotellet er jo fedt, men vi oplevede desværre dårlig service fra personalet. Ved indtjekning kunne de ikke hjælpe os med parkering af bil. Vi kunne prøve at holde udenfor hotellet, men måske blev vores bil slæbt væk. Vi måtte parkere et andet sted, hvilket resulterede i 100euro vi måtte betale for offentlig parkering i 2 dage. Vi oplevede også at der ikke blev gjort rent på vores værelse de dage vi var der.

Et hotel der skal opleves for sin arkitektur, Værelset helt i top hvad angår indretning og comfort. Personale i baren var imødekommende og gav god service. Et par meno på kundekontakt manglede til gengæld i receptionen, men det var vi forberedt på fra andre anmeldelser. Det kommer nok snart på plads, og når det sker, er det en 100% unik oplevelse.

Mere smart end funktionelt hotel. Caféen lukker uden der er andet, der er åbent. Receptionen havde udsolgt af flere varer. Kunne ikke engang købe en øl på hotellet. Night light blinkede af sig selv, så måtte slukke værelsets hovedafbryder hele natten for at få mørke.

Apart from not getting much advise on parking (two places nearby for reasonable money, I found a tip somewhere, but not from the hotel), the stay was great. The welcome was great, nice personal, great to take the elevator instead of walking the steps. We had a room on the 5th floor next to the restaurant where the restaurant squeezed us in for a great dinner, the room was new, of course in a rather modern beton-style, good lighting all over, with lights on the bottom of the bed when you got up during the night. The view was magnificent and we could easily head up to the top floor late at night to take photos. The place is of course a very special place and the exhibitions also tell the stories. The surroundings have a lot of restaurants and also breakfast choices, and the Bunker is just next to the U-bahn, for very easy access to all of Hamburg. Now that we know where to park, we could easily come back to stay there again, as we felt welcome.
