2/10 Poor

I had to wait 20 minutes to check in when finally someone turned up. They took a ‘deposit’ on my credit card and have still not refunded it, 2 weeks after my stay. I would avoid this hotel and certainly won’t be returning.

Great location and will stay again
Booked as an overnight after game at Twickenham. Price is the price on weekends like this but really surprised, location the way the building looks and when you walk inside bit of a wow factor. Staff were really nice and polite even I turned up drunk after the game. Breakfast was great but to be honest I did not have much as back in the road to get home. Will stay again on another London trip

Great Selwyn Stay
Nice and convenient property for visiting family. One thing to note, the property has a water softener so all the water is run through that. They also give out large bottles of water for drinking which is nice. The location is tucked away enough from the busier parts of Richmond, however it’s a short 5min walk to the train station. There are multiple grocery stores nearby and Gail’s has good coffee and breakfast.

Enjoyed the aesthetic of the main entrance of the hotel. Room was nicely decorated but wasn’t totally clean, noticeable chewing gum stuck to rug, dirty curtains etc Our room was near linen bins so we were woken at 5-5:30am one morning when bins were being moved, not an ideal start to the day. Other than this, the hotel was nice - if returning we would consider requesting a room on the first floor as an alternative for the noise.

Cute Rooms & Walkable
We visited Richmond for one night and chose this hotel based on other reviews. We wanted to visit Richmond because of our love for Ted Lasso. The hotel is very walkable to the downtown area and not far from the train station. The property is updated and very well decorated. The room was a bit of a tight space but we were very happy with it. We had a lovely view and the bed was super comfortable. Everything was clean and tidy. The bathroom was more spacious than we expected. We really loved our stay here, even though it was short. We would definitely book here again.

An excellent place to stay in Richmond. I would have given it five stars, except for one small problem. You can take the elevator, but there are still four or five stairs to which you have to carry up your luggage. They have a very nice front patio where you can sit out and have a glass of wine, etc. we did not have the optional breakfast. Very close to other attractions in Richmond we stayed here because we wanted to go to Kew Gardens. Several public transportation options nearby

Sweet lil gem
Excellent location. Super friendly and helpful staff. I would request a room not facing street but I checked late in the evening. I would definitely go back

The hotel is beautiful and Richmond is a lovely area. The room was quiet and spacious, however there were two minor points, one if which was super minor. A good number of their rooms are on the lower ground floor. The second point, I was in room 102, which was a lower ground floor room and it was evident from the smell that the panelling by the door on right was likely covering a good amount of mould, or something else by the door had mould, there was a noticable smell. However the room was nice and clean, and even though it was a lower ground room we did have a window so it was nice and I bright. I would happily stay again.
