We stayed for one night during our anniversary weekend and had dinner in the hotel restaurant. Our dinners were unique to the restaurant and really delicious. The staff were all wonderful and welcoming, the room was clean and had what we needed. The history of the hotel is neat so if you like staying in places with a little history to it, this is definitely the place.

Historic Summit Inn is a MUST in western PA.
We stayed at the Historic Summit Inn as part of a fall foliage in several states. We chose this location due to its proximity to Falling Waters and Kentuck Knob. The Inn did not disappoint! It is a throwback to another era--old school feeling with contemporary functionality. The room was spacious, the shower water pressure was fabulous. We ate dinner and breakfast on site, both were delicious. The weather did not work in our favor, so we were not able to get the 360 views from the deck. We would definitely stay at Summit Inn again.

6/10 Good

The hotel’s common area are lovely and the room was comfortable. Nice hot water in the bathroom. Breakfast food was very good. Be aware that this hotel has multiple stairs and NO elevators. Not even a bellman/woman to help you with your luggage. The breakfast is ordered at a walk up counter, no substitutions allowed and the customers need to gather their own condiments. Staff is in need of customer service training.

This is a historic property so there are some “amenities” that others may feel are missing. We adored the hotel and its staff. The rooms were comfortable and I slept great! Very quiet. Dinner was fantastic at Mae’s and the porch is such a wonderful place to enjoy the weather and view. Will definitely stay here again!

The Summit Inn is such a special place, and the staff is absolutely wonderful. Hopefully all the rooms will be renovated soon. My room was an upgraded one, and I loved it. I do wish that there were small frigs and microwaves in the room.

The Summit Inn is quaint and convenient to many attractions and activities in the Laurel Highlands. Staff are helpful and friendly. Items to improve would be amenities like a coffee maker in the room and better room lighting. The air conditioner was noisy, and there is no elevator. Slight musty smell in very old rooms.

Beautiful historic hilltop hotel with great views and an excellent restaurant. The elk stew was delicious. Our only suggestion is that they install grab bars in the tub/showers
