Lovely stay at Hotel 1898. We were celebrating my birthday and were welcomed in the room with a bottle of Prosecco and cake, which was a lovely surprise. Hotel is very clean and has a great bar on the roof terrace. Lovely people staying there as well. Ideal hotel for couples and solo travellers. Would definitely stay there again.

Nice, well-kept property in a good location. Rooms and common areas were well appointed, and the pool and spa areas were very nice to have in the heat of summer. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only issue I had was delay in getting to my room, which wasn't ready until after 3:30pm and I had to keep checking because I had no notification.

Wonderful! They were able to get us into a room upon check in, and we did arrive early. So that was a great way to start! Beautiful hotel! Dinner on the rooftop terrace was delicious, and the view was amazing! I left my lil pouch up there, but didn't realize until the morning. When I went to the front desk to check out, before I even asked about it, she was coming out with my pouch! Excellent staff through and through! Can't wait to go back!

Fabulous hotel - really enjoyed our stay. The rooftop space with pool was an added bonus and bigger than a lot of other hotels so was a huge bonus. Location is perfect, in the centre of everything and the staff couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast was ok and what you would expect for a hotel breakfast but felt they could have done a bit better in this area and had a different variety of foods. It was pleasant enough, just not outstanding for what you would expect for the kind of hotel. Got a bit monotonous towards the end of the holiday.
