very old hotel, but the facilities are alright. It is actually a great & interesting experience to stay in this hotel with such a long history.

Hotel Rūže is a hotel full of history and character. I recommend taking a walk around after you arrive, as you will find plenty of great spots for photos. Overall, the hotel is clean and tidy, and the location is convenient to the Flixbus station (about a 10-minute walk). Recommended!

Front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, certainly the highlight of the property and out stay. The property location was really great, as it was close to the parking making it easy to bring our bags from the car to the hotel. It was also very walkable to the center of town, shops, restaurants, etc. The rooms were dated and the beds a bit uncomfortable, but fine for the price and location. We were only there for one night so it was perfectly fine and we selected the property primarily for location. Again the staff was incredible.

We arrived early but couldn’t get an early check in so we left our bags at reception and decided to walk around. The city is pretty small, and you can see most things in one weekend. If you are driving note that there’s no parking on site but there’s one nearby that the hotel arranges it. We didn’t know about this before hand so we drove until we got to the hotel but that is a pedestrian area so we just dropped off the bags and returned to the entry of this area which is located a few meters before the hotel. I noticed that you can also organize pick up (from the parking but maybe from other places). Good breakfast.

Absolutely fantastic location and view from the hotel. Kind staff and a beautiful city to explore. However, the hotel did not feel like a 5 star experience. The bar was closed all days, the terrace bar and restaurant was also closed. You needed to pay and book sauna and jacuzzi separately. We had a squeaky sound from the bathroom that kept us awake most of the night. The staff was helpful in finding a new room but we were not offered any discount, or similar which I would expect from a hotel with a 5 star rating

FALSE ADVERTISING! The Delux double room is shown as a much grander and larger room than what we were given. The hotel website on Expedia likely uses a grand suite picture for their deluxe double room. As such, we did not get what we booked. Unfortunate because it’s just a bad way to sell a room.
