e have stayed many times at different DoubleTree by Hilton hotels and have always been very satisfied. Unfortunately, our recent stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Frankfurt was a major disappointment.
First of all, when we checked in, we received no information about the floor our room was on, breakfast details, or internet access. We were simply handed a bottle of water and a cookie. The room itself was missing several essentials: only one pillow per person, which was uncomfortable when trying to sit up in bed; no soap in the bathroom; and no extras like cotton pads, ear swabs, or slippers.
We had to call reception twice just to get soap and slippers delivered. The next day, when we returned to the room, it had not been cleaned, and there was no water provided. We called reception twice again, but no one answered. We ended up spending the entire night without water.
The main reason we choose DoubleTree by Hilton is because of the excellent service we’ve experienced in the past. Sadly, this time the service fell far short of expectations. The only positive aspect of our stay was the breakfast.
