Excellent Hotel - Strongly Recommend

Excellent hotel. Located in a quite area but has easy and frequent accessibility to city centre.Rooms are comfortable and extremely spacious and also have a small kitchenette. Lavish Breakfast and with very good choices. Staff are extremely welcoming and very helpful. They go out of their way to help out in explaining the whereabouts and how to reach the prime sites.I would strongly recommend and give full stars rating

So many good vegetarian options. Very fulfilling. Staff was soooo good, I have stayed in multiple hotels across the world, but staff at Charles Hotel has been exceptional so far. Like I can't express in words how above and beyond they went to take care of me. One of the staff even lent me his phone charger as mine was lost. They also packed me food on my last day (all veg food) as I had an early flight to catch on. Like best best and best.

You can choose better place to stay.

The hotel had a decoration straight out of the 90s. The bed was fairly comfortable. However, when we entered the room, we found the toilet dirty. Although we had paid for breakfast through Hotels.com, the hotel claimed it wasn’t included in our reservation and asked us to pay extra. Even though I contacted Hotels.com and they called the hotel, we were still not given breakfast. It was a complete disgrace. The staff were friendly and helpful, but I would never stay there again and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Great stay at Charles Hotel

The best thing about the Hotel Charles is the Bus stop Meszaros Utca which is right in front of the Hotel coming from downtown. Going to downtown, bus stop Meszaros utca is right across the street from the Hotel. Breakfast was great, room is huge and very spacious. We loved the little kitchen area. However it is a very old Hotel, but is is well maintained, If you are looking for space, this is for you., If you are looking for grand and modern, this is not for you. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there, and we also used their laundry facilities which was a plus.

Good hotel

Room was clean. Cleaned every day while we were out. Small bottles of shower gel and a soap bar were provided in the room. Minibar was well stocked and prices were very reasonable. Only downsides were check-in being a very laborious process and my hotels.com status benefits weren’t honoured by the hotel but other than that it was great. The bus from across the hotel takes you straight into the city centre and taxis are easy and cheap.

The front desk staff are amazing. The transportation arrangement the hotel books for guest is also great. The only reason for low rating was the beds were not made everyday. when you are on vacation that is one of the perks you look for. Also the sheets were coming off the mattress showing that the mattress was badly stained. It makes it hard to sleep on as you feel unhygienic. Bus stop is right across the street.

This is a good hotel for a one night transfer stay. It is not really centrally located, and nothing is really around the area. The interior looks outdated. But it is very clean, and the old stuff actually looks interesting as if I'm back in time inside a movie set (if you like that type of stuff). The staff are very nice and helpful. So overall, not bad for one night stay.

Huge and clean room

Very big rooms with a small kitchen. Comfortable bed. The hotel is old, but everything is clean. For me thats more important than fancy furniture. Very nice people working in the reception. Not in the citycenter, but the bus stops just outside the door. Plenty of busses that takes you to the city center in just a few minutes (or you can walk). The only negative for me is that there are stairs to the elevator and that you have to shower in a bathtube - not that easy to get out. Would absolutely recomend this hotel
