Upon arrival we were barely greeted at reception. The room we received could not have been further from the entrance which was hard with two toddlers, bags and a baby. Not even an offer of help or an offer or a trolley to help us with our belongings. However, it was a lovely reception area.
After the long walk to our room, we discovered the toilet didn’t flush, and had to press the button about 5 times for the toilet to actually flush which was a bit awkward.
We decided to head down to the pool. Thinking it would be just down the hall to an elevator that would take us down to the pool floor. We were so surprised when we realised we actually had to cut across the lobby in our swimming gear to get to the pool. If there was an easier way to get to the pool, it was awfully confusing and unfortunate that we were not informed by any member of staff about the better route to the pool facilities. If the only way is through the lobby then anybody with children should be prioritised to stay closer to the pool. After arriving at pool reception we were informed it was €11.00 for a pair of arm bands- my jaw nearly hit the floor. €11.00 for a pair of armbands that are worth €2.00 at best not to mention them being a life saving device for my child should be free. After paying good money to stay in a hotel they can’t lend a pair of armbands? very upsetting. However, we enjoyed the pool- it was lovely. Having no plug sockets beside the bed was crazy. Staff did bring an extension up.
