Upon checkin it took awhile for anyone to come and greet us. Wasn’t a very warm welcome, but definitely wasn’t terrible. Nice guy, quiet. Friendly. We were charged a $50 “incidentals” charge upfront, which wasn’t explained and since we weren’t given a receipt, I ended up going back to ask why our rate was higher after it dawned on me. Totally fine, just probably should be given a receipt to make it clear. Maybe we missed him pointing it out, but I had checked in online and put in my card(again) and it never said that. We were in a suite, and my mother in law was going to sleep on the sofa sleeper since the 2 full size beds are not big enough for 2 adults unless neither of you move an inch. There were sheets on it(in questionable shape if I’m being honest, but she’s not picky), but no extra blanket or pillows. I went and got her a blanket and luckily I had my own pillow so we had extra on the beds. Overall the rooms were remodeled nicely, but then it’s almost like they decided that was good enough…let’s not clean them thoroughly anymore. It’s a bit sad. It could be so great. But everything was stained and dusty and just not kept up. The hot tub needed a scrubbing around the edges badly. The whole place just needs some really excellent cleaning people to come in and deep clean the whole place to bring it back to life. It wouldn’t take much more than some elbow grease. We slept well. We’d stay again. Breakfast was great. They just need a little help with upkeep.
