I come to Stockholm every year to visit family and I always stay here. The location is amazing- it’s so convenient with the subway and train station steps away. It is very well located right next to the central train station so it was easy to walk to Gamla Stan, the Royal Palace, City Hall and so many other sights. There are lots of good choices for dining within a short walk from the hotel and the roof top bar was a bonus. It’s a very large and busy hotel but the front desk staff are very helpful. The breakfast was okay but not as good as other breakfasts at other Scandic hotels that I have stayed. The rooms are a nice size with lots of room for 2 or 3 people.

Very noisy bar from around 5pm until closing (00:00 or 01:00) asked to move from floor 7 as we were under the bar. Had to pay for an upgrade to floor 11, was still very noisy. The hotel has an excellent location, very central and within easy reach of everything. The excellent access to buses, metro, and trains made travelling around the city very convenient. The hotel is also conveniently located near the Arlanda Express, numerous restaurants, and a dedicated shopping street. Gamla Stan is also within easy reach and is highly recommended for anyone visiting Stockholm. The hotel staff were very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. However, several aspects of our stay fell significantly below the standard we would expect from Scandic. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the rooms was not acceptable. The mattress in our original room was visibly dirty, with stains and crumbs on it. Although we were offered an upgraded room, which we appreciated, the cleanliness of this room was also below what should reasonably be expected from a Scandic hotel. This was particularly disappointing and had a negative impact on our overall impression of the stay. The breakfast was another area that needs improvement. The selection was quite limited, and the breakfast area appeared too small for the number of guests. On several occasions, there were 10–15 people queuing for coffee at a single coffee machine. This created unnecessary congestion and long waiting times. The breakfast area should be expanded, and additional coffee machines should be provided to accommodate the number of guests.
