I normally do not leave reviews - especially ones that might tarnish the reputation of an establishment, that being said, I post this out of concern for issues of sanitation. I booked this room several days prior to my stay and had no idea that the hotel was and continues to be under renovation. The two elevators are shared with the construction workers hauling debris out from the upper floors - understandably there might be debris on the elevator floor from such activity but over my 2 night stay noticed that the same trash and dust on the elevator floor stayed there. It was clear upon entering the room - priced at roughly $140 per night not including tax - why the hotel was undergoing such renovations. The paint was scratched and worn around the trim in the room, there was a stain/hole in the curtains, the cable outlet was separated from the wall and laying on its side, there were areas not painted that were very noticeable, the carpet was slightly damp and bathroom floor sticky. No one was around during the breakfast buffet when I was there to tidy and wipe clean the counters periodically from guests spilling food on them. There were flies. I decided to forgo breakfast. Trash cans outside the hotel near the pool and picnic were not emptied on a regular basis as I observed an empty cigarette box handing out of a garbage can for two days. The staff were friendly but unfortunately, I will not stay there again.
