Location was good. Staff were kind and responsive to requests however, the room furnitures need upgrading. Though they've repainted the room furniture and fittings needs imptovement. Pillows doesn't give adequate neck support as they were all so flat- 2 pillows piled together wont suffice. Water stopped whilst im in the middle of a shower!!! Took 10-15 mins before it resumed but the flow was still very slow.

Check in was quick and easy, the room was clean but there was very little space and no coat hooks or hooks for towels in bathroom. The beds were uncomfortable (seemed old) and the single bed was very squeaky and made lots of noise every time my son moved. The hotel is dog friendly but costs an extra £10 per night. There was very little space for our dogs bed. The room was also very warm. The carpet on the stairs looked like it had not been hoovered in a long time.

Very basic room, could do with some improvements such as soap in the bathroom, a spoon to stir tea/coffee. Tea bags just loose, would be better in a sachet. Didn’t dare try any food in the bar/dining room due to the large rats seen running in the area near the kitchen and bin area. No housekeeping, nobody came into my room during my stay to make the bed, change the towels and empty the waste bin in the room, disappointing. On a positive note, the room was warm and the bed very comfortable. Lots of road noise.

Royal Welsh stay

1 night stay for the Royal Welsh show. Reasonably priced for the busiest week of the year in the area. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast could have been a bit more of generous portion also a bit disappointed there wasn’t a cot in the room even though we had booked stating it was with a 1 year old child!
