his hotel looked much prettier in the pictures than in reality. As someone used to basic four-star hotels in the U.S., I would rate this closer to a two-star property. The biggest issues were the bathroom plumbing and the comfort of the bed. The bed was extremely low to the ground, which made it uncomfortable and awkward to get in and out of — even for someone in their early 30s. The bathroom had a persistent odor, with sewage fumes coming up through a floor vent. Since there was a glass door and no proper ventilation, the smell spread across the entire room, which made it hard to spend much time inside.
Service was minimal at check-in — efficient but not warm. On the positive side, the breakfast was excellent. It was made-to-order, and the women working the buffet were very kind, going out of their way to serve guests even at the very end of breakfast hours. That was definitely the highlight of our stay.
The location was decent, about a 15-minute walk to some attractions like the castle, though it may be far for travelers who have mobility issues. It was close to shops and food options, including a Starbucks.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless you plan to spend very little time in the room. It wasn’t the worst experience we’ve had, but it definitely wasn’t a comfortable or relaxing stay.
