The room was clean and comfortable, and I was in wing 3, which was very quiet, so I slept well. Housekeeping was very late on Friday (around 3:30 PM) and not very thorough, but they were great on Saturday.
The rating is based on the food service experience. Thursday night I ordered a chicken club sandwich at the bar, and received a chicken burger, which was not great. I didn't eat at the hotel Friday, but our banquet on Saturday was a disaster. The banquet room was free by 4 PM, but the tables hadn't been fully set until after we were seated at 5:45. Salad was rusty, salad served before dressing, rolls served and eaten after salad, but before butter was provided. Our group got fed up with the delay and many got up and bussed the tables. Dinner was served between 7 and 8:30, and the vegetarian option ran out so they used a poor substitute. Dessert was just put into takeout boxes because everyone was fed up. I know you've already heard about this, and I understand they had a worker issue, but the manager should have been working on this problem during the 30 days after the employee walkout, not making excuses during our banquet, which had been booked over a YEAR in advance.
