The good- the resort itself was very nice. Two pool areas with hot tuba, one is adult-only. Food in the restaurant was good, the service was excellent. View of the boats coming and going in fantastic! The little faux beach is cute, but not practical.
The bad- I traveled alone (female) and they assigned me a room that opened to outside instead of an indoor hallway. They gave me an accessible room without asking. There was no hair dryer and the TV didn't work, only stayed on the advertisement. The front desk didn't tell me the thermostat isn't operational, so it took me a bit to figure out there was a window heater/cooler. The baseboards in my room were filthy! The adults only hot tub is really way too small. There was no notice that the bar in the adults only area is closed until summer, we were counting on that bar. They charge $5 for a cup of coffee in the front lobby!!!🙄 Also, when they lock the pool area for the night it's difficult to get to the rooms in the other buildings without walking around the front of the hotel. The directions they gave me at the front desk, the door was out of order due to construction. I had to duck under a rope to use the stairs in the back pretty ridiculous. And no sound proofing! I could hear above and next door.
I will say I met up with friends who had nicer rooms, hair dryers and their tvs worked.
Overall the resort is lovely, but I feel pretty ripped off paying $300 for my room plus $46 for parking (in an open lot with no security).
