This is a fantastic boutique hotel. The service was amazing a golf cart unexpectedly picked us from the hydrofoil, for free. Drove us to the hotel, we never touched our bags everything was brought to the room. A Granita was given to us upon arrival. The best part is the beautiful design. Goergous white wash bldg, with beautiful blue details ceramics......I was told this vivid blue was a color that was specific to the Aeolian Islands. There is no pool, but I don't know if many of the hotels have...
Terrific rooms, each with a large outdoor terrace. Very charming. Impressive service. I had to leave an hour before normal breakfast serving hours so the fine gentleman met me in the breakfast room at 630 am and served me a cappuccino and cake and fruit to get me on my way. I hope to come back and stay a week. Fabulous views. The Only downside: its a mile from the ferry terminal and the town center. A pleasant walk once you take a taxi with your bags.
Stunning property with incredible architecture and location on cliff side next to see and overlooking the town. Wonderful staff and owner that offered to drive me to the ferry when the taxi was not showing up on time. Good menu for dinner. Great breakfast and unbeatable setting. The only problem was that although they say to preserve water, it takes 10-15 minutes for the water in the shower to get warm. Investing in a new water heating system should be top priority. Even so, I would love to stay...
Al Belvedere is one of those places where you are torn between the urge to tell everyone how great it is and a somewhat selfish desire to keep it a secret. Everything about the hotel is great, from the location to the personnel to the food. We had an amazing time and will try to return one day.
The original room we booked was not satisfactory, we upgraded for a substantial increase.
There is no way of telling in advance of what the room will be really like.
Other than that, the staff were extremely friendly, it had an excellent restaurant, although the chef got carried away with the creativity a little so you may want to stick to the a la carte menu.
The island is beautiful and has great hikes and walks for the active traveller.
Overall, it was a very good hotel.
Nice, reasonably priced property. It is a bit of a walk uphill from the port area, so if you are someone who not wanting to do a lot of walking, you may look for something further down the hill. The breakfast was just okay. Not one of the better ones I had while in Sicily. The property owners and staff are friendly and offered suggestions for things to do. The rooms have private terraces which I found quite enjoyable. I did not use the hot tub or the sun deck, but other guests seemed to...
I stayed one night in June. The B&B itself is very good. I was offered a free pick-up and return service to the port which was very good. Overall the service was excellent. I had a large tiles room with a balcony overlooking the sea. The only detractor is that the B&B is quite a way up the hill from the main shopping street. Overall still good value though
We arrived via Liberty Lines ferry, and it was a short walk to the hotel. We checked right in and were shown the room.
It was very spacious and had a kitchenette with stovetop to make a light meal. We had a drying rack outside our room and chairs and table in our patio.
There is a seasonal pool but not heated. There were several deck lounge chairs to relax by the pool.
The morning breakfast was quite nice with eggs, pastries, meat, cheese, yogurt, and fruit.
We were able to hold our...
Not many guests because of low season but excellent choice for us. The lady at reception did everything, ran the office, cleaned our room, met out needs. She was excellent. Very good location walking from town, easy to find, close to the main attraction: Vulcano. A wonderful and memorable hike.
The room was comfortable and the breakfast terrace was a great way to start the day. The location is great, a short 5 minute walk into the main port area. I do recommend taking them up on their transfer offer to the port, I booked my own cab and it was 3x the price.
The only issues I ran into was that the WiFi wasn't strong enough to do much of anything...no streaming on the TV, no video calls, my cell service was faster. If you need reliable internet service, look elsewhere.
The housekeepers...
