"Great hotel, I've stayed before and I commented that it needed a little bit of work, well, they are doing a lot of work on the rooms. Ours had a fantastic new bathroom. Food was great as usual. Will be back again sometime. Thank you : )"

"The room was clean and had plenty of room for one person, bit noisy the 2nd night breakfast was good but the hot drink option was not available even though it was listed on the menu.

"Lovely clean room, bathroom a good size, think we might have had the largest room. Bed was soft and comfy. Breakfast was delicious, cooked perfectly. Pub is in a good position in the village with walks from the doorstep and near great TI office. Pub meals are not overpriced."

The small tea/coffee station with some breakfast options included in the room was the bit the bowled me over… a treat at 6am, cereal & fruit, new milk & yogurt, plus proper coffee bags, even a tray to carry it to the table.

"We stayed one night for business..The hotel is a bit run down and greeting OK- nithing special. There were signs warning noisy people would be kicked out but the night was very quiet and beds were exellent which made up for everything else. "

"Looked for a cheap overnight hotel in Middlesbrough, and found Longlands. Rooms were simple, shared toilets and showers as advertised, but clean and tidy. There was a problem with the boiler, affecting the central heating, but the receptionist provided a portable electric heater when it couldn't be sorted. Showers were electric so worked, and were nicely fitted out.
I added the breakfast, which was really good value.
