We arrived before noon and check in wasn't until 3.00. They gave us our keys then because we didn't know if we would be back before they closed at 7:30. Our cabin was very nice and suited us just fine. There is a train crossing right next to the cabins and they blow the warning horn/whistle each time. We love trains so it didn't bother us. They do provide ear plugs if you want them. They have a little store and a gas pump there too. Pretty place! Would stay there again.
We booked this location as we saw it as a great end to our holiday. And it didn’t disappoint, it was everything we expected it to be. It put us into the middle of nature, peace and tranquillity. We were well looked after and to top our trip we saw a bear. We will be back.
We loved staying at this lodge and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay driving distance to Lake Louise or downtown Banff. The staff was always lending a helping hand. The daily gondola rides were absolutely beautiful and made the stay that much more special!
Excellent hotel with comfortable rooms at an outstanding location. Service and staff were great. Easy access to the bus for skiing and a good restaurant (only ate breakfast though they serve all meals). Definitely would return!
We could tell it was an older building that had been turned into the Kenrick in 2025. The interior decoration was lovely and the staff terrific. My “complaints” started with (1) the single elevator for 4 floors (includes basement parking). So cleaning staff had to share it with customers. (2) Once in the hallway I noticed that 1/3 of the rooms required that you go up a short flight of stairs to access. We were on the same level as the elevator, but I would have been upset to have to drag bags up...
We had a wonderful stay at Buffalo Mountain. The grounds were beautiful, the hot tub was perfect, the lobby and dining facility was really nice, we only had breakfast there but it was fantastic. Nice touch of Nespresso machines in rooms. Good location, although not quite walkable to Banff Ave, easy busy stop across the street. Would definitely stay here again.
The front desk was extremely helpful and had excellent recommendations for things to do. Amy in the bistro was also fantastic and had great recommendations for places to eat in Banff.
The service was the best I've experienced since the pandemic. The hotel remains one of my most favorite in the world for the serene beauty surrounding it.
The room was nice as was the bathroom. We were right off the lobby near the elevator which is normally something that would drive me crazy but it was not an issue. The hotel was nice and left earplugs in our room just in case, but I had my Sleep Pillow app running on white noice, so we heard nothing. I want to put in a plug for the restocking, Farm to Table. Excellent. Had breakfast and dinner there and I highly recommend.
The location of the hotel is very convenient and parking in their garage...
Check in was quick and easy with helpful staff. The room was very big and spacious and was quiet. The only issue with the room was the pillows were not the best and were quite flat and unsupportive. The onsite pool was very nice too.
They had a restaurant onsite which we didn't try but good to know was there. They are also doing renovation work currently (which didn't disturb us) but they are building a new cafe too which will be a nice addition to the site.
Property is lovely, unfortunately the hot tubs were closed for maintenance.
The sink was very slow draining and the toilet ran throughout our stay. Send up the plumber to room 406.
I would stay again.
