"We only stayed a single night on the way to Johannesburg airport, but we enjoyed all of it. Wonderful room with fantastic views and a G/T on the terrace. Nice homecooked dinner and breakfast and overall just great service. We felt very welcome.
Only downside was that the mosquitoes were as happy to see us as Holger and Norma. Glad this is not a malaria area. "

"The reserve is a nature lover's oasis. We were there in December, the biome is teeming with life. We spotted duiker, boomslang, baboons, mongoose and lots of colourful birds, butterflies, dragon flies and much more. The hike up the valley is beautiful.
Highly recommended if you want a peaceful back to nature retreat.

"OK ish to stay with dogs. However the road to get to the property is terrible terrible terrible. We slipped off the Provincial sand road due to mud. However the real challenge is to get to the farm house. Not fun at all especially when wet. We won't visit again because of challenges to get to the property. Real pity. "

The rooms were drab, dark, old and small - it felt very crammed with all the furniture in it. There was a small fridge in the room, which was great, but there was no bottled water in the room and we had been told not to drink the tap water.
The bathroom especially, was very poor - it had cracked tiles in the shower and weak water pressure, no shelves for toiletries, and the cistern took forever to fill up. We...

"We've booked a room that was supposed to fit 4 person (that was how it was marked on hotels.com). When we arrived we learned that the room is actually a 2 person room and we had to pay for another room (we bargained for a half price for a second one). The "original" room was nice and clean (although not very new) but the second one had some mold in it and was in need for a renovation.
Other than that the staff was nice and we had a good sleep for a one night."

A table would have been nice to eat my dinner, but as a new unit, I hope that will be quickly rectified.
I will definitely stay again. (The orange I pinched from the orchard outside my room was the sweetest I have tasted in a long while) - (don't tell the owner!)"

Furnished in the style of Dullstroom so it fitted in with the ambiance. beautiful full view of the dam and hill . Great walks around the estate and the hiking trail on offer at the main dam. Parkrun is next door at the main dam. Very close to all the restaurants and shops of Dullstroom . Easy walking . walked to the brewery and coffee shop . Has a TV with DSTV but honestly we did not need it. No WiFI but...
