Victorian mansions line streets where five Pennsylvania governors once lived, their legacy marked by a monument in Talleyrand Park. The natural spring that gave this borough its name ('la belle fonte') still supplies water to residents today. Duck into the Bellefonte Art Museum housed in a historic building, or paddle along Spring Creek for a different perspective. History buffs shouldn't miss Curtin Village at Eagle Ironworks or the American Philatelic Center, a paradise for stamp collectors. After exploring downtown's shops, take a breather beside the water at Talleyrand Park, where the historic train station hints at the borough's iron-rich past. For something stronger than spring water, Big Spring Spirits offers locally-crafted refreshments.
We stayed one night at the B and B and Connie was wonderful in welcoming us to the property and making sure we were comfortable. The property was very quaint and unique. Our room was very comfortable and clean and the shared bathroom was very clean. The breakfast was amazing and Connie was very attentive.
The condo was lovely, and super comfortable. We were at the beginning of a very long trip, and it was terrific to have a lovely full kitchen, so we could reheat our leftovers, and set up a nice breakfast. The bed was extremely comfortable. Despite being on a busy corner, it was very quiet. It was also great to have designated parking. I have only two issues: the doorway is dark, so seeing the way to get to the pad in order to get to our room key was problematic; and we are people people, so...
Hotel itself was great. Biggest complaint...we had one choice to eat so we had to eat there because it was the only place that was open. Never would have been our choice.
Since 4 years, whenever I visit SC I stay with this hotel . I never had any complains or an issue, Employees and management were freindly and so nice. The rooms were cleane and convertible . It happened in one of my business trips to SC that Courtyard has no rooms available, I went to another hotels with good names. However, Courtyard is closer to my needs and wants. Simply, it is my hotel.
Staff were very friendly. The room was clean. The lobby and restaurant were nice. The elevators were being serviced so it was a bit slower to get them. The parking garage could be better lit though.
I just spent a night but was excellent. The bad thing? I missed my breakfast the next day, but not complains about the stay over night. So...this is a great place. I cannot rated lower.
We only needed a room for one night to attend a college camp for my son. The hotel staff were friendly and very accompanying. The breakfast included with the stay was good and hearty especially for a growing boy who needed to have a full appetite for the day's activities. Thank you for making us feel comfortable and welcome.
The Nittany Budget Motel is a very quaint place to stay in State College. After having a reservation at another hotel in State College, I cancelled the reservation to stay at this hotel based on the great pricing and positive reviews. When I was checking-in the front office staff was very friendly and very helpful. Once my mom and I got to the room we loved how spacious it was as we brought our dog with us so we had a lot of room. The room was very clean and the room service staff was very...
This hotel was conveniently located right off the Highway. Our room was recently renovated and it was wonderful! Super clean, big comfy beds with clean white bedding, mirrors that light up, streaming on smart tvs, it looks like there will be a future restaurant at the hotel. Breakfast options were very minimal.
