It's right in front of the beautiful lakefront. The cars at night are a little loud because it's RIGHT by the street BUT very few drive by at night. The rooms are gorgeous and the staff is VERY knowledgeable and friendly! It's within walking distance of a lot of activities and restaurants too!
The room was super clean, the beds were comfortable, the price was right, and the staff was friendly and provided excellent service. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, and the whirlpool tub in our room was the icing on the cake. What a great place! We will be back.

The stay here felt very comfortable and homely. The place is tucked away so you don't get traffic sounds or car exhausts. Breakfast every morning felt like I was a fancy bed and breakfast. The owners chatting you up about local sites, things to do, or just asking how your stay has been as also really nice.
We were very happy with our stay at the Ephraim Motel. It was quiet, clean and everyone was quite friendly. If you are looking for a quiet comfortable place to stay in a dry town, this is it. We also played mini golf at the Red Putter across the street. That was a fun game of mini golf and Bob was very accommodating.
We have been staying at the Waterbury for years! It's one of the best places to stay in Door County in the summer because it is in the heart of the action! We love the outdoor pool and picnic areas! Such a great place for a family. We have space to spread out and we feel at home here! The staff is beyond friendly and kind. For instance, we are not coffee drinkers and I left a note by the keurig type machine requesting 2 teas for the 2nd night of our stay (we only had 1 tea and 5 coffees)...
This was our second stay at Open Hearth and honestly, I don't think I will ever stay anywhere else. From the owners being more than accommodating (WIFI wasn't working in our room, it was fixed in 5 minutes), to the overall staff friendlyness, to the clean room and amazing breakfast (ok, lets talk about that pancake machine - AMAZING!!) This was a great experience. Bed was a little hard for my liking, but can't win everything.... and everything else was PERFECT!
Check in was easy, the woman at the front desk was very nice! Our room was comfortable and clean. The funky patterns on the walls and blinds was a really cool touch! We stayed only one night, not even 24 hours, but I’d stay again. The price was good and the location was out of the busy area of Fish Creek but still close enough to walk to everything.
