Great hotel with lots of old school charm. The first day we had a beautiful room but not much of a view. As soon as we asked the manager, he promised to move us to a room with a view the next day (after some rooms became available). Sinclares Resort is such a gem! The entire property is meticulously maintained and nicely decorated with beautiful landscaping. The premium room is spacious and bedding is clean and comfortable. They provide you with a heater during winter time so the room is plenty warm. The best part is the hot shower which is so much better compared to other equally expensive hotels we stayed across India. I was surprised how lovely the interior of the hotel was as I walked through it. The room was nice and the front desk staff were helpful, as noted in other reviews. The breakfast was a basic continental one: toast, 2 eggs, fruit, juice and coffee or tea.

Great location and about 15 mins walk to the town center. We booked the Heritage rooms which had an old world charm with great views. The service was excellent and the staff extremely hospitable. Overall, a really good stay.
The staff were great. The location was perfect and close to main Darjeeling mall. The floors in the room and multiple junctions in the lobby area are uneven which may cause discomfort and extra attention especially for elderly people.
The location is really good and the service is amazing. The room design is also very spacious and modern looking, with good lighting. I only wish there was AC as it was a bit humid, and the room wasn't as clean as I am used to (some dust, dirt), but for the value it is an excellent stay, and the service of the staff was a highlight.
Our stay at Sumitel was great. The staff was extremely friendly and took care of all of our requests in a timely manner, even when we ordered our dinner late, they accommodated us. We could see Kanchunjangha from our room, which was an added bonus. The front desk attendants and the night manager was also very friendly, including the kitchen staff Pranesh, Lakpa and Sovana. The only room for improvement I would suggest is Wifi, which was extremely slow. Otherwise a great stay.
