"Ideally situated for the castle and jail up hill and the town down hill. Room was comfortable, large and quiet at the back of the hotel. Parking was busy at the front of the hotel but we parked easily at the back. Breakfast was excellent: both cooked and cold selections available."

"We stayed for one night to break a journey, very friendly staff food in bar very good. Rooms very dated and furniture old but it was acceptable, very quite location good nights sleep. Windows in the bed room opened lovely and wide so loads of fresh air on a hot night. Wonderful view of the Wallace monument. Did not have breakfast as early start.Loads of parking on site and not charged if you entered your reg at reception."

"Beautiful place. Very rustic place. Just be aware there is no A/C. But we opened the window and used a fan they provided. Bed is very firm."

"If you wish your room to be cleaned you have to ask at reception for this to be carried out on a daily basis.Overall room clean and tidy although tea tray was very sparse. Our stay was comfortable and staff very friendly."

"Loved the location and exploring Dunfermline. St.Margarets Cave to the rear of the property / car park a great unexpected find for a spot of histor which needs to be booked ahead (they do accept walk ins subject to availability)"

"The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with many options. The setting of the hotel itself, and it's history was a experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. My only complaint is that the room we reserved was a bit outdated. The old tv had limited channels, dust bunnies here and there on the floor and the furniture was immensely outdated with scratches."

"Good clean basic accommodation in a similar standard to P Inn or Travelodge. Free parking in a generously sized car park. Good (bus) public transport connections directly outside for Dunfermline centre or connections to Halbeath P&R just 1.5miles up the road."
