We were very happy with our choice of the Sonesta Posadas. It is definitely a hotel designed for tourists and most everyone we met there was from the US or Europe. It is right on Lake Titicaca, and is behind a gate/wall which makes it quieter and safer. It is slightly outside of the main city area, but if you want to go downtown cabs are plentiful and cheap.
