"This hotel has always been WONDERFUL. Sadly, I was taken sick at the last moment and could not travel to Costa Rica on the dates I planned. As a result, I was too ill to check my email and cancel this reservation. Therefore I forfeited the entire amount of my reservation. I understand that these are the terms of the contract I agreed to when I made my reservation. Therefore, I hold no ill will to Holiday Inn or Hotels.com. Hopefully, the next time I need to travel to Costa Rica to assist my sister I will stay healthy and accomplish my mission including a stay at the Holiday Inn in Alajuela."

"The breakfast was fantastic. There is hiking on site. The staff is top-notch. The property is amazing. The rooms are open your mind to a higher life. But the surrounding neighborhood is terrible! Bars on the windows"

"It is in a good location, close to the square. A solid choice if you need to be close to the airport. No shuttle but they have one paid parking space (10 USD/night). "

"Air conditioning was not great. The room was a little dusty and I didn´t like it. There were no ameneties which is fine but that was poor. Also, hot water wasn´t enough. I was only there for 1 night but I won´t come back. "
