We liked the class and taste. Hotel is brand new with good lighting in the bedroom, bathroom and public spaces. Breakfast buffet and the cappuccinos were awesome. Very friendly staff, nice neighborhood and close to San Marco. Very close as well to the a boat station.
The hotel was exquisitely appointed and beautifully designed with all the comforts of contemporary Venice and the historical beauty of the original medieval building. What a treat to have breakfast every morning sitting beside authentic Renaissance frescoes. The staff was lovely and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed. We especially liked the separate niche for our luggage and the mini fridge safe and coffee. It kept the room clutter free. We hated to leave. Highly...
We were upgraded to a larger room, which was very nice and comfortable. All the amenities were in good order, and the staff was great, particularly with restaurant recommendations. We'd happily come back!
The hotel is clean, conveniently located, and very cute. Taking the advice from a previous reviewer, we got a canel view (rm3), and we loved it so much. It can be noisy if you’re sensitive to noise but didn’t bother us (in fact we slept so well). The location is excellent, walkable to all areas we wanted to go (Rialto 5m, St Mark’s 10m, Guggenheim 20 m) - but of course you get lost in Venice, so it’ll take longer. I think it’s better much than staying in busy San Marco. To the hotel, we took the...
The hotel was great. Very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The small breakfast buffet was well worth the 15€. Overall we were very happy with our stay.
The photos do not do this property justice. The rooms look old in the photos and that could not be further from reality. The rooms are freshly renovated and the motif makes them appear in photos to have faded paint and furnishings, this is due to the color aesthetic not coming through in the pictures.
We read all the reviews and were so surprised at how much better than any of the reviews this hotel is. It is clean, located in a great spot, the service was amazing and our favorite breakfast of all time was at this hotel. It is very close to the airport and even closer to the cruiseport. The staff was very helpful in giving us options of less expensive ways to see Venice. Everyone was friendly and happy to answer our sometimes strange questions about Venice. Yes it is an expensive city to...
The hotel was located in a great location, central to a lot of dining and shopping options. It was a quick boat taxi from the train station or a 20-25 minute walk. The room was very clean and slept well. The hotel is connected to their cafe which is convenient for quick bites and cafe
Has a dock. Convenient to come into from the Airport or Train Station.
Hands down a great choice ! Take the speed boat taxi in or you will be lugging your suitcases thru the streets.
This was a great place for us to stay while visiting Venice. It is a charming building and hotel and our room was very nice - new, clean and modern. It is a very short walk to catch the water taxi to Venice, with many restaurants near and between the hotel and water taxi - perfect. The staff went out of their way to provide a high level of attention and service. They handled the parking of our rental car with no problem, which we did not use while there. I highly recommend the Ausonia Hungaria.
Beautiful older hotel perfect fit for Venice. Very clean and timeless hotel. Excellent service. Excellent breakfast. Right in the shopping area of Venice and close walk to St.Marks Square. Nice amenities including: Spa for an additional charge. Boat taxi service provided by the hotel. Bar on site.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Overall very satisfied with our room, included breakfast and the friendliness of the staff.
Pro's:
1. Hotel entrance faces the Grand Canal, and located very close to the Sant Angelo vaporetto water taxi stop (like 100 meters)
2. The front desk staff was extremely friendly at ALL times of the day and night. ALL questions answered including questions about Venice locations, tours, schedule of water taxi, and recommendations for local restaurants.
3. Our room was a junior suit with balcony...
Great hotel for Venice area. Small but like home. Very nice, informative, helpful and professional staff from the reception to the lady in charge of the breakfast.
Very clean and updated. Excellent location near all landmarks. Water taxi stop is nearby 2-3 minutes walk.
Very comfortable. I would go back again.
A great stay !!! Considering other accommodations in Venezia this one stands out as one of the best. Highly hospitable staff and excellent accommodations. Highly recommended to future guests and I would return without any hesitation
It was very easy to get to the property by waterbus taxi. The waterbus taxi stand is just several feet away. The room and bathroom was beautiful and spacious; with a canal view!! The staff was very nice and professional!
