The hotel was tucked away in a small town just outside of Montefalco. The rooms (including bathroom) were very large and decorated to the hilt. The owner makes the pastries (about 6-8) every morning. They have a wonderful dog, Pepo on premises which is very friendly and affectionate. We tried the restaurant and it was good as well. Service was impeccable
Best 5star ever. They way beyond catering to your every need. The manager was on cite much of the time. His name is Dillon and I've never been to a better run hotels and we've been to hundreds of 4 and 5 star hotels in Europe. We will go back for sure. Add it to your bucket list!
We had a lovely stay at Il Rietro. The setting was picturesque, the service impeccable, and the room sparkling clean and comfortsble. The restaurant was also a complete delight with excellent service, delicious wine and amazing food. I hope we'll have the opportunity to visit again. Grazie!
Hotel dei Duchi in Spoleto offers a wonderful, quiet stay with a great location for sightseeing that is very walkable to all the main historic attractions. The property is spotlessly clean and making it the perfect retreat after a day of exploring the town. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a fantastic selection of delicious options to start your morning. Best of all, everyone on the staff was remarkably friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout our entire visit.
It is off the beaten track on a small winding road from Orvieto so somewhat stressful to get there, but worth the effort! Magical location in a beautifully renovated castle that maintained the old elements and spirit while providing lovely modern comforts. Huge modern bathroom. The service felt like they were full time career professionals that felt like they really cared about the place and the hospitality. Dinner and breakfast was amazing! Booked last minute on our trip to Assisi not really knowing about this gem, but turned out to be the best! Very friendly staff. The location is just the best if your planing a trip to Assisi. The views are amazing and your not far from the basílica of st francis and Maria degli angeli. The best !
