If you're looking for an authentic Sicilian farm-stay, look no further. This is a real working farm (vineyard). Filippo Testa and his staff cheerfully look after your every need, including home-cooked meals and free breakfast using local produce. The views and the solitude of this country setting are superb. Wifi was not available in our bedrooms, which were otherwise very comfortable. Wifi is available in the dining room, so this was a minor issue for us.

My wife and stayed at Masseria La Chiusa for a long weekend a few weeks ago (September 2015). While the hotel and its rustic surroundings were lovely, the thing that sets apart this spot is the super helpful staff. We arrived quite late on a Saturday night, but the staff was able to prepare a dinner for us and relocate us to a room that they thought we would like better (the new room had a terrace overlooking the valley) all the same. My stay was both peaceful and exhilarating. The small, welcoming staff and I came to know each other like family. This historic lodge is steeped in Sicilian history of Kings and Princes, forest hunting and some intrigue. There are many original public rooms and interesting books about Sicily in them. Bird watching is a must, as listening to bird calls every morning. Is it up a dirt driveway? Yes, but not far from a town and connecting roads. This was a solo trip: adventurous and renewing.
