One of my favorite places I've ever stayed at. The owners are incredible and the love they have for the place shows. Wonderful rooms with kitchenette, little coffees and teas, and a free laundry! Cute little playground, washing line, bbq available, and the most gorgeous grounds complete with flowers. The owners helped with navigating nearby and answered any questions I had, especially not having a car. 10/10!
Service was very friendly and helpful. The upgrade was appreciated and the fact that I could checkin earlier after a long flight. Location is great close to a bakery in what seems like a good neighborhood. Bed was comfortable , heater in the bathroom was great Z soap, conditioner and shampoo provided. Maybe the only thing I would change is not charge extra for laundry as it’s off putting.
Nice and peaceful location. Mostly heard birds chirping as the main sound. Clean and has shampoo, conditioner and soap in the shower. The stand alone bathroom had no hand soap, which was a bit odd. Has two different laundry and dryer locations on the property that are coin operated, you need to bring your own laundry soap which we had to go to the grocery store to purchase.
Sleeps up to 8 people. Each bed had a heated blanket if needed (not sure about the fold out couch because we didn't use...
Golden hotel is the perfect stay once landing in Christchurch and before leaving again. Very clean and nice space. Staff is also responsive and kind with inquiries. There is a Vietnamese cafe right on the main lobby so very convenient for a quick pick me up. Overall, would stay here again so definitely recommend!
We drove in from Queenstown to Christchurch area and were tired and knew that we were a bit removed from the city, but it turned out to be the perfect place. Comfortable bed, pretty décor, kitchen...you really couldn't ask for anything more...wish we would have stayed longer.
A great place to stay in Christchurch. Conveniently located off the main road to the airport. Access to sights and activities is excellent.
Also easy to get to some great cafes,restaurants, and shopping areas. Staff are super nice and do everything they can to make your stay comfortable. Bill and Pat went above and beyond to make my stay excellent.
Rooms are quiet and comfy and have a full kitchenette.
Some also have spa tubs. Highly recommend the Airport Palms.
The room was great. The bathroom was great except there was no hair conditioner. The floor however did not appear to have been cleaned. The carpet had stuff on it (including someone’s old contact lens!) and the floor was sticky on parts. The kitchenette was stocked but we didn’t really need that since we ate out every meal. Overall good stay.
The room was spacious and warm! Warm is a good thing here since it was July and most other places we stayed at were freezing, so we really appreciated that. We really liked everything about the room, and the coffee/dining table was really practical. The owner/manager was really nice too.
This is a beautiful property located across the street from the Botanical Garden and green space. We stayed in the suite which I would recommend. It is so so nice! The host and hostess were available on the premise for what ever we needed. There are several areas in the villa for relaxation. It is quite for sleeping and safe for walking at night within a few blocks of shopping and eating.
Clean room, excellent communication with the check in staff, great that there was laundry IN the room! The kitchen Im the room was perfect! Thank you for a lovely stay!
Very nice room. Complete amenities. I love the kitchen and bathroom. Very helpful staff. Nearby restaurant. Everything was great. If we do get back to Christchurch, I will definitely choose this place again. Highly recommended!

Very well appointed room, spacious. Loved the outdoor patio. Rooms have snacks and drinks available for a reasonable price which is a nice touch. It was a convenient location for us.
The room was clean and well-equipped, with a jetted bathtub in the bathroom. When I asked about laundry facilities, the young woman in the office offered to do our laundry, washing and drying, for $10 per load. She did a great job on the laundry, completing the task very quickly. We found Amalfi Motor Lodge to be a quiet and comfortable place to stay.
staff was phenomenal. went above and beyond. stayed for 9 days. found the place to be very clean. bedding was more than comfortable, with heated mattress pads too!!! had a 1 bedroom unit. individual heating system in each room, floors heated, towel rack heated. kitchen fully supplied, newly renovated kitchen and bathroom. nearby grocery, fish and chips, pharmacy - all within walking distance of a very nice, quiet neighborhood. easy bus service into city.
