Fantastic quiet spot to enjoy Koslanda area. Highly recommended if you're looking to unwind and enjoy the grounds. Staff, service, food, room, pool all great, only downside is drive time to wider activities (Ella/Lipton's Seat) make for long day trips.
Our stay at Te Dalu was exceptional. We loved that the hotel was located a little outside of Ella proper, which allowed for connection with the beautiful environment and scenery while still being convenient to the amenities of the main town. Incredible views from our room at Tunnel Top, overlooking the beautiful valley and the iconic train tracks! The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. We also loved that drinks were available for free throughout our stay.

This place has a gorgeous view, great hosts and delicious breakfast. The room is basic but clean and it does not matter that there is no aircon as Ella is not as hot as other places. There is a big fan if necessary. The host went above and beyond for us and even got up really early to get down to the station and buy us train tickets. We recommend this place for a picturesque, great value stay.

The hotel and surrounding area are absolutely beautiful. The hotel is a bit above the center of town and view from the room is unbeatable. Breakfast was very good and we enjoyed a cooking lesson from the chef which was fun.
