"The room and location were great and the breakfast was absolutely Devine! The only “negative “ comment is that the shower floor was slippery with no mat or strips on the shower floor to keep you from potentially slipping. Loved everything about this place in terms of our needs as was right across the street from the ferry terminal. No elevators to second floor so be forewarned if you are elderly this might be a negative, but for these two older ladies, we loved the staff and the place."

"We had an incredible 2 night stay here. Fyona and Colin went above and beyond to make us feel at home and we would 100% stay there again! Breakfast was delicious, the room was cozy but just what we needed and the neighbourhood was quiet. It's about a 20 minute walk to the shops in Kirkwall which was so perfect. Can't recommend enough!"

"Very central hotel overlooking the harbour a close walk to the main street and all the sights in town. The restaurant & bar area were great and rooms were quite comfortable. Staff were very friendly :) The only downside was the unusually hot summer weather made the rooms quite hot and stuffy."

"We got in just on darkness after a 7pm departure from Scrabster. The room was clean and compact but had everything we needed. The mattress on the bed was a little springy but all in all, comfortable. I'd stay here again."
