"We have just had 4 days at Brambles & we could not fault it. David & Allison are very helpful, pleasant & nothing was to much trouble. The accomodation was excellent & the breakfast superb.The room was very clean & welcoming. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay & definately will be staying there again if we are down that way. Also the garden is beautiful with lovely views. "

My only minor criticism is being 6’3 the light they’d fitted to the single room was basically at face height so I cracked my head a couple of times getting in and out of bed. Otherwise would recommend for a cheap stay."

"Bright friendly welcome with tea and biscuits. The gardens are extensive and lots to interest. The house feels like a medieval manor although is C19 Tudor revival. The bedroom had everything needed and mercifully no television, was clean and welcoming. Al in all a lovely stay with a lovely host."

"As I find stairs difficult with luggage, and no lift, staff were helpful and changed my room from 1st floor to ground. Staff were pleasant but bar service could be improved. The waiter was covering the kitchen and bar. He walked past me twice, while I stood at the bar, but I still had to open the door to the kitchen, and call, I had to ask for ice and lemon, but didn't get the lemon, it didn't seem available. Just small things really but could be improved. "

"The new owners of the Greyhound Inn had only taken over on the 1st of August we arrived on the 4th and while there were obviously a few little hiccups with the handover Veranik and her husband together with the staff made us more than welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them.
The food was good both the breakfast and the evening meals.
The Inn is ideally suited as a base with so many attractions in the area including several national trust houses. Most enjoyable we will definitely...
