"This was just an overnight after driving up from Dornoch and getting on the ferry to Orkney at Gills Bay the next morning. However Eilean and Graeme greeted us in the parking area and helped us move into our room. Provided us with lots of info on their property and where to eat. Our room was very comfortable and breakfast in the morning had lots of variety and our choices were delicious. "

"Very cozy hotel with a fantastic family that runs it and makes you feel at home. Clean rooms with lovely views over the river or a neighboring garden. Quiet location, yet very central. The food in the restaurant was also excellent. Was a bit uncertain when ordering as I read some older reviews, but that was obviously in the past before this family took over. "

"We booked online last minute called up to say we would arrive in 30 minutes, the staff was very eel and helpful. We was shown to our room then went down for an evening meal, the food was excellent and we was made to feel as part of the family, it is a lovely warm feel place with lovely people and the rooms was amazing the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful we would highly recommend staying in the Manor and meeting this lovely family it’s one of the best I have ever...

"The employees were great. The area was quiet. Room was clean. It did get a bit warm at night as only 1 window opened and only at the top. Overall was a good stay!"

"A lovely little hotel for a one night stop. Staff were all lovely and friendly. Our room was pleasant, on the ground floor, very clean with a comfortable bed. We ate in for dinner which was very good, good choice, also choice for vegetarians, and the portions were very good. Breakfast was a simple but good buffet. Very happy with our stay. "

"Being on my own with the dog, i was a little apprehensive. Absolutle no need. Booking in was easy. I was informed ofthe dog friendly places to eat. I was wvenoffered cutlery uf u wanted to order in. Breakfast was delivered to the room which is what they do for everyone. Was fresh and spot on poached eggs. Deffo recommend. Budget but good"

The lady who checked us in offered us the townhouse that they have instead, we had to pay extra but at this point we just wanted somewhere to stay so we paid it. We also experienced a punctured tyre on the way up and they let us stay in the property until it was sorted. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. It was clean, warm and comfortable. "Andrea was an excellent host, the pod was clean and well stocked with everything you could need to make your own meals. The bed was comfortable and the hot tub was an added bonus to relax after a long drive. Highly recommended! "
