"A lovely country pub. The landlady was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of tea and coffee sachets in the room. The food was exceptional and the breakfast was amazing. Even freshly brewed coffee which you do not get in hotels. We were pleasantly surprised."

On the negative then someone else parked selfishly in the carpark making it extremely precarious to get out - should have been stopped and was charged at dinner for something i didn't have - only noticed today "

"It was lovely. It was quiet and away from people, v close to local amenities and sites.
The WiFi is spotty but that is no criticism, it was great to know i could just read a book without constantly checking my screen.

"A great, cute and quiet retreat, which I regrettably only stayed in for one night, as I enjoyed eating my takeaway pizza (rock'n'roll) sat out as the sun set and listening to the wildlife. Would definitely return if I'm in the area again, recommend."

"There’s not a lot that can be said about Tumbleweed Cottage that hasn’t been said before - really is a rarity to find somewhere that ticks all the boxes from quality of bed and bedding to fabulously prepared fresh breakfast- not my first stay and certainly won’t be my last !!

"This is a lovely old pub, so one needs to remember things may be a trifle warn. That being said, the shower was hot, the bathroom floor was heated, but grout missing in some of the floor tlies. The food served in the restaurant was AMAZING and the staff were friendly and helpful. I can't thank them enough for making my stay so enjoyable. "

"OK. So I had no idea that this hotel was a winner of Channel 4’s “Four in a Bed”. Until I got there but I can understand why it did. The decor is quirky without being irritating and the room was really comfortable. I should probably say that I was travelling for business and this hotel wasn’t ideal for that (there was no desk) but I would definitely return with my wife. I would have liked a head’s up that the restaurant wasn’t going to be open the evening that I stayed and sadly I had to leave...
