We only spent one evening there. We drove up from Edinburgh for golf, then stayed overnight at the Kilmarnock and had a wonderful dinner. We got up in the morning and had breakfast before leaving for our next destination. The hotel was quite, clean and very reasonably priced for this small quaint little town.
This is our place to stay in Peterhead. Good adjoining restaurant/bar with very helpful staff. Good menu with great breakfast. Rooms are always clean and supplied.
The room was good-looking and very comfortable. The bathroom was the nicest of all the hotels we stayed in that week, and included heated floors. Service was excellent. The grounds of the hotel are lovely - they have black Highland cattle and deer and of course the beautiful golf course, which we walked out to for the views. My only suggestion is to make the rooms a bit brighter - there isn't enough lighting, and given my room's location (we were in the lodge, which is all first floor), I...
We just had a beautiful 1 night stay with Karolyn & Chris in a very yummy room in a quite delicious & absorbing house. The welcome (includes a chocolate), service, friendliness, the bed, the breakfast (oh yeah THE breakfast - especially the Porridge) & their 2 dogs, who are extremely friendly, after an initial bark when arriving, made the overall experience one we’ll never forget & will be telling other travellers to just book in & enjoy. The property is National Trust listed & is quietly tucked...
We have stayed there before and wanted to return. It was so worth it. Nice room and wonderful restaurant with fabulous food and drink. I even had pancakes and the grill was broken! I had them two years ago and they were the best in Scotland so the owner made sure they could make them again!! They even recognized us (two traveling couples) from two years ago!
Such amiable people! Five stars!!
