Evening meal was delicious I had chicken fajitas with everything on the plate to add to the meal I Also ordered proper chips which were delicious. The Bed was really really lovely and comfortable and the room was beautiful

"This is our second time staying here and cannot recommend it highly enough, it is super close to Beamish which is why we stayed. Rooms are lovely and clean, food is amazing big portions, the staff are super helpful and very friendly. Lovely seated area to the rear to enjoy drinks, Good parking also to rear of property. Would highly recommend."

Cuando llegamos a hacer check inn, nos dieron una habitación para discapacitados…, lo hicimos saber a la recepción y se nos dijo que “todas las habitaciones eran iguales”. Al día siguiente, lo volvimos a señalar al encargado y nos dio otra habitación, completamente diferente, y muy cómoda; nada qué ver con la primera.

"We were pleasantly surprised. A last minute overnight stay with our dog. Excellent food and the staff were all welcoming , helpful and kind.
No additional charges for our dog.
Our room was large, comfortable and provided everything we needed. Garden at the back enabled easy walking for the dog.
Location is great with walks locally and plenty to explore.
We will be back for a longer stay. Great value for money. "

"Made welcome as soon as I arrived and Pauline was an excellent hostess. Anything was no bother and even went out of her way for guests. Food was excellent and I will be back anytime I am in area. Try the Surf and Turf Fajita and the Chicken burger is a must. Rooms tidy and clean."

"I needed a one night stay before my flight. Although not an ensuite i had a bathroom along the corridor to myself.
Host was very friendly and informative, helped with all my airport access questions. Excellent value for money, and only an 8 minute flat walk away from the airport. Yes some bits are a bit tired, but for the price paid excellent value for money. Would definitely stay there again when flying from Newcastle Airport. "

We only had breakfast but it was delicious and plenty of it. The decor was lovely but needed a bit of tidying and the vase on the table needed a clean. I’m not keen on fake flowers which gather dust and the winter sun shows the glass vase needing a polish.

"Last minute booking due us n3eding tongo and viait family after a sudden unexpected family passing all the stagf where nothing but kind and polite and when we needed to extend our stay it was no issue at all for them to help us we opted to have the breakfast and im so glad we did aswell as the full english and continental option the also had things like omelettes, avocado on toast and the most delicious eggs florentine. The manor is stunning as is the grounds and i enjoyed googling the history!"

The only negative aspect was the cleaning of the toilet once we were staying in the room. For instance, in 4 nights we had the same towels although, I imagine that they would have solved the problem inmediately if I had notified it. In general, everything was quite good. I strongly recommend it."

"This was a very nice comfortable place. We had a little trouble finding it. Was easy to check in and out of. The only suggestion I would make was to put the exterior patio lights on a timer so that they turn off at night— if it’s hot and you have the window open then you have all the light from the patio. But it was very clean and comfortable."
