Near the beach, close to transportation, etc. Walked to a beautiful golf course, Belleisle, and played there on a spectacular sunny day. Enjoyed 2 breakfasts and dinners in their restaurant. "The guest house is in a quiet street a short walk into the town. Checkin was great suggestions for local restaurants etc. The guest house was spotless and beautifully decorated. Lovely big room, plenty of tea and coffee.

"Nicole and Malcolm make Craigmount so special. Book themed bedrooms to reflect Wigtown, and a lovely sitting room to read or eatch TV. Our double bedded room with ensuite overlooked the garden. The room was quite compact, and made more so by our largish suitcases. If you have big bags, perhaps book a family room. All the rooms are accessible via stairs. The pre-ordered breakfast was freshly cooked and wonderful. Dinner options in town or nearby were limited, except to drive, especially mid-week....

Hotel is tierd in places but room was modern obviously newly updated. Bed very comfortable family are improving areas all the time. Well worth a visit if you are coming to Castle Douglas."

The check in is all virtual, no hotel staff are on site, and it went smoothly however I did have to step outside to get a decent cellular signal in order to check in. Close to the railway station. Excellent breakfast in the restaurant. Highly recommended!"
