My only complaint was that there was not a mini refrigerator in the room. I had bought some expensive cheese in Rome and was unable to keep it due to this. Wonderful staff and I like that they hire mentally challenged people to help with the kitchen.
The Parkhotel Matrei has some of the most attentive and friendly staff I’ve met. The hotel gave off “home” feelings and not commercial hotel. The convenience of a front parking lot, gas station & grocery nearby was great and the rooms were perfect size for me and my many bags, as well as a space for me to get my work done. I was also given a holiday gift bag because they knew I’d be alone for the holiday. Just a great place, words don’t do them justice. Definitely will be returning some day!
This place was amazing! the pool, the spa, the room, the view, the food and drink and the kind staff! Very welcome landing pad after our 5 day hike in the mountains. My family loved it! My wife and I and 3 kids, 13, 12, 8 -- was excellent!
We stayed at Sachsenklemme for just one night to break up the trip from southern Germany to Venice. It's a great place for both parent end children. The hotel is situated very close to the main highway. The kids got to run rand in the playground and had fun with the zip wire and tramopoline. The grown ups enjoyed the beer garden and the great food. The hotel is surrounded by high mountains. The only drawback is the constant noise from the highway.
This was one of the greatest hotel/guesthouse/BNB experiences that we have ever had. The helpfulness of the staff was incredible. The included breakfast was the best food that we had on our trip to Austria. I am vegetarian and was able to find many options at breakfast while my partner enjoyed trying the varieties of meats. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The restaurant was closed while we were there which we missed.
Unfortunately, I was only passing through and stayed there for only one night. I wish I had an opportunity to stay there longer. Hopefully there another time to visit. It's a beautiful place, and they have lovely staff. I'm an Australian travelling through Europe for business.
